UPDATE: 6/25/2021 - Dragy's GPS Performance Meter that you can place in your car to determine 1/4 mile times without actually going to a professional track is now making a contenders list difficult as we have no way to verify the results without trusting every screenshot from the Dragy app.   I'm so sorry to those of you who have indeed taken your car to the track, but enough of the contenders feel that Dragy is good enough or that only head-to-head runs with the current record-breaking car is the best way to declare the fastest time. Considering the top two 1/4 mile times are on different continents, this makes little sense. In light of these issues we will be stepping away from documenting the contenders, but wish everyone the best with your swaps!
